The Council of United Filipino Organizations of Tidewater, Inc, is proud to announce that as of July 30th, 2014 The Notary Public of the Jurisidiction of the City of Norfolk and Virginia Beach recognizes that the outsanding balance and loan has been fully paid off for the real estate property of the Philippine Cultural Center of Virginia Beach.  CUFOT is proud to announce also that the Property is now valued at $2 Million Dollars.

SCAPA is inviting dancers and musicians to participate at The Virginia Arts Festival International Tatoo honoring the  Philippines.  We are inviting all organizations interested to participate.  We are also in need of experienced Filipino dancers and musicians.  Rehearsals starts this coming Friday Jan. 31 at 7pm.

In light of CUFOT's special fundraising event at the PCC for its "Save the Islands" Typhoon Haiyan Relief Benefit, SunTrust Bank donated $100,000  American Red Cross to assist with relief efforts for Typhoon Haiyan On Friday Nov 22, 2013.

Nov 11, 2013

The City of Virginia Beach honored the sacrifices of military men and women vets on Veterans Day.  The annual parade and ceremony began at 9:00 a.m. at 16th Street and Atlantic Avenue and ended at the Tidewater Veterans Memorial at 19th Street, across from the Virginia Beach Convention Center.  This year's grand marshal was CUFOT Chairman, Capt. Manual A. Hipol, MC, USNR (Ret.).  The co-marshal is Capt. Kenneth Golden, USN (Ret.).  Crowds along the parade route heard from marching bands from the U. S. Army, U.S. Navy and local area high school and middle school bands.  Honor guards from the Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach Police and Sheriffs’ Departments, and Virginia Beach Fire Department performed, along with Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops from across the area, drill teams and more.  More Info Here

CUFOT presented the "Save the Islands" Typhoon Haiyan Relief Benefit held at the PCC on Friday Nov 22, 2013.  Attendees were treated to dinner and dancing in efforts to raise donations/funding for the Philippine Red Cross to assist with relief efforts for Typhoon Haiyan.

Towne Bank opened its doors at its newest branch location in Kempsville, Virginia Beach on September 27, 2013.  As part of it's giving back to the community program, it is their social responsibility practice to recognize several community projects nearby its newest bank openings.  For the Kempsville Branch opening, under the recommendation of Towne Bank Board member, Virginia Del. Ron Villanueva, that the Philippine Cultural center be one of the chosen community projects.  During the Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies, Mayor Sessoms presented Chairman Manuel Hipol with a $5,000 check for the PCC's programs.
